The Satyrs Motorcycle Club, based in Los Angeles, California capped a year of festivities leading up to their 60th Anniversary dinner at The Townhouse on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles on Saturday night, November where about 175 Leatherfolk from all over the west coast were in town. Irene Soderberg entertained with song several times as the main entertainer.
The dinner began with cocktails and hors d' ouevres, dinner and the program included a parade of club colors, national anthem, introduction of outgoing officers and new officers and was highlighted by Irene Soderberg.
Longtime member Riley Black served as president of Satyrs Motorcycle Club during its 60th year. Officers for 2015 are: president Joe Rich, vice president Dave Faunce, road captain Brent Sweer, treasurer Ron Neiport, recording secretary Garry Bowie and corresponding secretary Perry Ash.
Currently, Satyrs MC has 20 active members - these guys produce a labor-intensive run like Badger Flat. One does not just join the club, the Satyrs observe a potential member for a long time before asking that person to become a member. Every one of the members are workerbees.
