Women's International Leather Legacy

When the dust settled at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dallas, TX on the night of August 4, Mama Gail was named Women's International Leather Legacy 2018. Master Bella was the other contestant. The judging panel consisted of Sarah Humble, Phyllis Darcy, MsDDom, Master Jim, Victoria Windsor, Bikkja Amy and Linda "Wish" Fisher. IMsL 1994 Pat Baillie returned as the emcee. Over $5,000 has been collected for Mama Gail's travel fund according to one source. WILL is the Leather title that is based on love. The love of women's Leather history; love of women and their energy; and having the heart to preserve the legacies of the women who have come before us and continue to pave the way for Leatherwomen. http://www.internationalleatherlegacy.com/index.html

NCSF to present the 2018 Race Bannon Advocacy Award

NCSF is proud to announce that the 2018 Race Bannon Advocacy Award will be presented to Race Bannon on Friday August 10th at 6:30. The NCSF is honoring Race with our award in recognition of his support for research, community development and advocacy, and for a lifetime of tireless work and enduring contributions to the alternative sexuality communities. NCSF has named our advocacy award after Race, and will present the Race Bannon Advocacy Award to a professional every year whose work has made a significant impact on our communities and our fight against discrimination. Fakir Musafar passes

On August 1, 2018, just before Noon, my friend Fakir Musafar passed through the vail. He is survived by his dear wife, Cleo Dubois, many lovers and friends, and the legions of people whose lives he touched and changed. Knowing this man, this spirit, has been the greatest blessing of my adult life. He taught me about my higher self, the “me” that feels, experiences, and leaves a willful imprint on this world. He instructed me in the ways my body can be used as a doorway to a brighter existence. We shared many ecstatic moments, and many more quiet ones. Fakir, your life and work in this place is done, the impact it had is forever. He lives forever in my heart. I love you.

The Jackhammer Complex progress report

We wanted to send a quick update to all of our wonderful supporters about the Save the Jackhammer campaign. As of August 2, we do have two official prospects that are interested in the building and it is looking promising. International Geared Pup

The International Geared Pup 2019 Contest will be held on February 10. Unlike other contests currently being held in the Leather, rubber, kink, and fetish communities, International Geared Up Pup is held entirely online. There is no physical venue, which means that there are no travel limitations or expensive run packages to purchase. Any pup, worldwide, is truly capable of entering and participating in the contest. LA Leather Coalition - Three new officers

Three new officers were added to the Los Angeles Leather Coalition board on Tuesday night, August 8 at the Sanctuary Studios LAX in Lennox, CA, the new venue for LALC monthly meetings. Palm Springs Leather Pride

The Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert publicized the dates for Palm Springs Leather Pride: Renegade to be October 25-28. Just shy of Halloween which is the Wednesday immediately after. Palm Springs LGBT Pride is the following weekend.
