The Westin is fully booked and the other three CLAW hotels are more than 50-percent sold. The other hotels are the Hampton Inn, Aloft Cleveland and the Marriott at Key Tower. Room rates start at $134/night for single and double occupancy ($139 for triple and quadruple occupancy) and include $20-$40/day in breakfast vouchers. CLAW Packages include more than 209 different events and exhibitors and the best cigar deck in all of Leather. CLAW XIX is April 25-28 in downtown Cleveland. CLAW is a convention that many consider the best Leather event of the year.

Jeph and Kevin Barry wed
Jeph and Kevin Barry, the founders of Divergent Donations Foundation, Mr. and Mr. Snowbound 2016, and recipients of the 2017 Pantheon of Leather President’s Award, were united in marriage in a private ceremony on the Island of Nantucket on the beach at the Brant Point Light on Monday, December 3. The Brant Point Light is a lucky location for not only Jeph and Kevin, but many travelers who throw pennies into the water as they leave the island, to ensure their return to Nantucket someday. Jeph and Kevin plan to return to Nantucket many times in their future together. Divergent Donations Foundation has raised over $300,000 since 2016 and has sent HIV/AIDS medications to over 42 countries through AID for AIDS International in New York City.

Leather Hall of Fame inductees for 2019 announced
The Leather Hall of Fame named their inductees which will be honored during the 11th Leather Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Brunch during CLAW XIX, April 28 in Cleveland, OH. The inductees are Samois, Fakir Musafar, and the Leather Archives & Museum. Created in June 1978 in the Bay Area, Samois was the first lesbian and feminist SM organization. A founding father of the “modern primitive movement,” Fakir Musafar gained a large audience through his art, his writings, and his classes. Since the early 1990s, when Tony DeBlase and Chuck Renslow laid the foundations for a repository for the primary documentation, art, and artifacts of leather culture, the Leather Archives & Museum has become a premier, central, and unique leather institution.

Welcome to ATLAS: a brand new Leather contest / dance party hybrid where the music never stops and audience vote helps decide the winner. Mr. ATLAS is the new evolution of Leather contest that is focused on performance and giving people a night they won’t ever forget. The traditional elements of a leather contest remain, such as speeches and interviews. However they are moved up earlier in the day before the main event in front of our panel of judges. Then later, at the main event, contestants will be focused on putting on a show that is dripping in sex appeal. Our judging panel will make their selection for Mr. ATLAS Leather with the help of interactive audience text voting, and the winner will carry the ATLAS name at International Mr. Leather in May 2019. LA Leather Coalition Board elected
The Los Angeles Leather Coalition recently elected its 2018-2019 Board of Directors. Chair Gus Norris, Vice-Chair Robert "Motorboot" Green, Secretary Apolonio "Señor Apple" E. Muñoz III, Treasurer Cypher with at large Board Members Ms Diana, Alan Stroik, David Cosio and Frank Cavallo who is new to the Board. The vacancy created by the resignation of Esteban Nuñez was filled by Gabriel Green at the December LALC meeting. Los Angeles Leather Pride Week will be held March 24-31.

MAFIA's monthly Club Nights are held the first Friday of each month at Touche' Chicago, 6412 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL from 10 PM until 1 AM. The next two dates are January 4 and February 1. The 15 Association - Play Party
The 15 Association's Holiday Play Party will be on Sunday, December 16 at 12 PM at Blow Buddies. The 15 Association will hold its January 26 monthly Play Party at Catalyst, 1060 Folsom Street, starting at 7 PM with doors closing at 10 PM.
