Earlier this month, the Board of Supervisors and Mayor London Breed formally approved the new Eagle Plaza. Anticipated to be the cornerstone of the city’s LGBTQ Leather Cultural District, the plaza will be located at 12th and Harrison streets, across from the historic gay bar of the same name. With approvals in place, proponents of the plaza are hoping to have it largely completed before the annual Folsom Street Fair.

Leather Cocktails at Tom House

Jon Wright was presented the Inspiration Award at Leather Cocktails at TOM House on Saturday night, February 23 in Los Angeles, CA. The Award read, For Being an Inspiration to Our Community - Past, Present and Future. Leather Cocktails was hosted by the Regiment of the Black and Tans, BLUF and California B&B Corps. Hors d' ouvres were prepared and served by Hunter and Charlie's and the bar was handled by the Bullet.

Congratulations to all involved with the 10th Darklands, held this past weekend in Antwerp. It was also the second running of the revived Mr. Rubber Europe contest. Eight men competed for the title and Dries Kissinger, Mr. Fetish Austria, was announced as the new Mr. Rubber Europe. We extend our congratulations to everyone involved with the event weekend. The 47th Annual Golden Dildeaux Awards begin on Saturday April 27, 7 PM at the SF Eagle, 398 12th Street, San Francisco, CA. These humorous awards, presented by the Golden Gate Guards, are intended to poke fun at various sexual activities while at the same time provide fundraising for the Positive Resource Center formerly known as AIDS Emergency Fund. The GDAs are held in three phases: Nomination, Voting and Awards Ceremony. Nominations for the Golden Dildeaux Awards are now open and are free.

Mr. Missouri Leather

Two men competed for the Mr. Missouri Leather 2019 title and Robert Segarra came out on top in front of about 200 cheering fans at JJ's Clubhouse in St. Louis, MO on Saturday night, February 23. The Titans of the Midwest presented Kink U at Mr. Missouri Leather Weekend, Leather64TEN from Chicago was the official vendor and Scarlett Sin's Visibility Project saw pride flags representing everything hanging from the rafters in the main room. The weekend concluded on Sunday morning with a Mr. Missouri Leather 2019 Victory Brunch at Hamburger Mary's.
