Roman Conquest was chosen to be Mr. Indiana Leather at Greg's Indy on Saturday night, January 6 in Indianapolis, IN. 19th Annual Post Holiday Open House
Jim Neuman and Dick Shapiro of the California B&B Corps hosted their 19th Annual Post Holiday Open House and Y2K18 Survivors' Party at their home in Palm Springs on Saturday night, January 6 with about 100 guests. The theme was Western dress with a catered barbecue with pulled pork sliders and salmon steaks prepared by South Fork Catering. The B&B Corps held their monthly meeting before the crowd descended upon Casa Lola en masse at 6:30 PM sharp.

The 10th Annual Mr. Phoenix Leather Contest, a local preliminary to the International Mr. Leather contest, was won by Scott Darby of Phoenix on January 6 at the Embassy Suites Phoenix Airport Hotel. Eric Thurnbeck of Tempe, Arizona was named runner-up. The judges included Mr. Phoenix Leather 2017 Jerry Heitman, Ryan "Pawlish" Garner-Carpenter, Guy Baldwin, Bill Dudley, Michael May; Judi Clark and Doug Kuhn. The emcees were Steven Lokie and Jefferson "Tugger" Ely.

Leather Heart Foundation launches General Assistance Applications
Over the last year the Leather Heart Foundation (LHF) has gone through structural changes and reorganization internally to bring all of the fetish communities LHF serves a strong foundation for those facing financial hardships. LHF is the only non-profit group of its kind - by the community, for the community. A few weeks ago LHF opened applications to the Disaster Relief Fund for individuals affected by the devastating wildfires and hurricanes. Today, LHF is announcing the reopening of regular applications for support due to financial hardship. CLAW Pups 2018 Volunteers
Puppy volunteers are sought for CLAW. To volunteer must indicate that you are a Puppy Volunteer and for what you are volunteering. There is a deposit you must put down to register, that will be returned after CLAW. If you register for a shift you are expected to show up. No-Shows will lose their volunteer deposit. We try and make sure things are fun but they are work. As a volunteer you are required to work a minimum of eight hours worth of shifts. Puppy Event shifts are filled on a first come - first served basis. If Puppy shifts are filled, you will go to the regular volunteer pool for CLAW. You volunteering helps make CLAW what it is. CLAW will be in Cleveland, OH the weekend of April 26-29.

How you can include your information on Dave Rhodes' Hump Day - Writer Guidelines
If you come up with a date and basic information on a new event, please send us the date and a short detail or two. This is designed for the web site and less so for print, so there is no 45 days-in-advance deadline. If your event is happening on November 15, make sure I have it by Monday afternoon, November 6.

Things to send:
1. Short article of about 90 words. So what if you are a few over. Just don't turn it into a Russian novel.

2. Photo or two. Landscape preferred. Must be a jpg. Taken with cellphone is fine. Please supply photo credit.

3. Link to a working site. Web site is preferential, Facebook still works.

4. Five "W's" - Who, what, when, why and where. All are important.

5. Please be concise. In news, verbosity is not a virtue; it is an editor's nightmare.
