Dave Rhodes turns 70
Dave Rhodes turned 70 years old on December 20. Dr. Larry and his husband, William, threw a huge LA Dodgers-themed birthday party for me on Saturday night, December 22 with 76 Leatherfolk attending. There was a great outpouring of love and I thank everyone who was part of it. A couple more photos appear near the bottom of this page.
Mama's Toy Drive

'Twas the night before Christmas with everyone on the road.
Mama was worried for the distance to go. The back ups we're horrid, with hours of delay, can we make it to Guerneville Veterans Hall in time for Christmas day? Oh come Christmas morning, Mama made it all the way, thanks to her Grand Master and his very trusty sleigh. The toys were all stock piled, waiting for the needy children to appear. Close to $10,000, in retail is what I hear. The Russian River Sisters had gathered to make a Christmas dinner treat. The fest to be had was turkey and ham, no one could beat.
The 175 people ate till their belts did expand, you knew all along that was the Sisters plan.
John Clifton passes
John passed away peacefully on Thursday December 20, 2018. He was born on June 29, 1947. John is a past owner of Pistons Bar in Long Beach, CA. He was of friend and supporter of the motorcycle and uniform clubs in Los Angeles and hosted parties for them at his Eagle's Nest home in Los Angeles.
Bears San Diego - turning 25 years old

2019 is a year for Bears San Diego to celebrate as we will be turning 25 years old. Within the first year, the club grew to over 100 members. Mr. Bear San Diego 2019 Bill Hurd and the Bears San Diego Board have quite a year of events planned, many at local bars including den nights at member’s homes, outings to movies, restaurants, and parties with other Bear Clubs. We are also fine tuning plans for a family friendly all ages event in the Spring. Our Annual Chili Cook Off will be on Sunday January 27 starting at 2 PM at Red Wing Bar and Grill, 4012 30th Street, San Diego California 92104.
Mister Sister Leather San Antonio
There are some important changes to Mister Sister Leather San Antonio including that the contest be fully inclusive. The only requirements are that one be a legal resident of Texas, over 21 years of age, and are competing in their own Leather gear The producers believe strongly in inclusion, representation, and the true meaning of community, so they've thrown the doors open wide to any that wish to compete and meet those three requirements. LA Leather Pride presented All Hands on Deck beer bust at Eagle LA on Sunday, December 30 with all funds raised going to provide ASL Interpreters at all LA Leather Pride feeder contests and events. There was a raffle of several hot baskets and even bondage equipment. The deejay played a lot of awesome 1980s hits and it fit with revelers staying long after the event was over. Mr. ATLAS is the new evolution of Leather contest that is focused on performance and giving people a night they won’t ever forget. MAFIA Club Night
MAFIA's monthly Club Nights are held the first Friday of each month at Touche' Chicago, 6412 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL from 10 PM until 1 AM. The next two dates are February 1 and March 1. Fist Fest - Spring FFling
