Mid Atlantic Leather - The contest

Mr. Pittsburgh Leather Fetish 2019 Emerson Aniceto took home the title of Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 2019 at the annual Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend (MAL) held on January 18th – 20th at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Mr. NC Triangle Leather 2018 Sir Brad was first-runner up and David Gerard, who was first runner-up at the Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 2018 contest placed second runner-up. Also competing were Mr. Connecticut Leather 2019 Mr. Sperry, Mr. Mayhem Leather 2018 Pup Baxter, and first runner-up to Mr. Maryland Leather 2019 Raven. The Centaur Motorcycle Club's Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend's Leather Cocktails held on Saturday night is the kingpin of XXX. Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 1993 Frank Nowicki emceed Saturday night's Leather Cocktails and the contest on Sunday. MAL concluded on Sunday evening with a dance at the 9:30 Club featuring music by Tedd Patterson and Manny Ward.
Southwest Leather Conference
Southwest Leather Conference was held January 18-20 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Phoenix, AZ with about 575 in attendance for the the three-day conference that was highlighted by the Dance of Souls hook pull ritual on Sunday afternoon, a brunch keynote address by BlueFrost and the Southwest Master and slave 2019 Master Michael and slave rebekah. The Leatherwoman's and Leatherman's Heart Awards went to Master Burt Cutler and Pug. The weekend saw workshops, dinners, play parties and a terrific hospitality suite centered on kink-spirituality. "This year we shook things up making our own ground in the face of of the quaking earth....In 2020 it will be time to look forward and figure out how to share what we’ve learned with the world. In our rotating elemental themes, next year’s theme should be fire, and everyone has been asking me what sort of inferno I have prepared for next year." Executive producer Kenneth Anthony in his first year at the helm.

IMSL and IMsBB - Judges named
International Ms Bootblack and Ms Leather will be held April 11-15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton - San Jose in San Jose, CA. One of the big pieces of the contest puzzle is the announcement of a judging panel. Selecting IMsBB 2019 will be Head Judge International Ms Bootblack 2017 Elisa, International Mr. Bootblack 2018 Lucky Rebel, Webby, boy Patrick and Photo Jan, and making the IMsL 2019 decision will be Head Judge International Ms Leather 2017 Girl Complex, International Mr. Leather 2018 James Lee, Summer Rae, Sir Kira and Harper. The 2019 Keynote will be delivered by Barbara Carrellas who is an author, artist, innovator, instigator and thought leader in the field of sex, gender and spirit.

Mr. Chicago Leather 2019
The Mr. Chicago Leather 2019 contest will be held January 25-27 with the contest being at the Leather Archives & Museum on Saturday night. Returning as emcee will be International Mr. Leather 2003 John Pendal. Mr. Chicago Leather 2019 will go downtown Chicago to compete at International Mr. Leather in May. International Geared Up Pup
The International Geared Up Pup 2019 Contest will be held on February 10. Unlike other contests currently being held in the Leather, rubber, kink, and fetish communities, International Geared Up Pup is held entirely online. There is no physical venue, which means that there are no travel limitations or expensive run packages to purchase. Any pup, worldwide, is truly capable of entering and participating in the contest. There were 10 contestants last year. The inaugural International Geared Up Pup titleholder is Alpha Pup Ashtray Boner Kain of Studio City, CA.
International Mr. Leather - Judges named
The judging panel for International Mr. Leather and International Mr. Bootblack 2019 announced their judges for this year on Saturday afternoon, January 19 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel during Mid Atlantic Leather. They are: International Mr. Bootblack judges - Lucky Ordaz/Rebel, Joyce Berger and TBA: the Winner IMSBB; tally masters (they cover both contests) Vidhra Alexander and Zach Bellman; International Mr. Leather - James Lee, Leather Daddy Ian Allan, John Ponce, David Katzenberg, Daddy Faye Foltz, Thay Master Z, Preston So, Don Leach and Todd White. The IMBB contestants will give speeches this year. IML 2019 starts on Thursday, May 23 and continues through Monday, May 27. Thursday night starts things off with Opening Ceremonies which will be in a new venue for 2019 and concludes with the Black and Blue Party on Monday.

Mid Atlantic Leather - Leather Cocktails

Saturday night brought what I consider the Leather social event of the season, Leather Cocktails. This formal Leather cocktail party started in 1976 in New York and never disappoints. This year’s theme was Around the World and saluted the Centaur MC’s former weekend camping run that was called Olympia. The ballroom was decorated with large posters from past Olympia events and featured buffets of Mexican food, Japanese sushi, American sliders (beef burgers, barbecued pulled pork, and Maryland crab cakes), and French pastries.
Mr. Faultline Leather
The Mr. Faultline Leather contest will be held at the Faultline in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 2 at 9 PM. The winner will compete at Mr. Los Angeles Leather in March. Friday night, February 1 features a meet and greet and Sunday closes things out with a victory beer bust. Mr. Faultline Leather 2018 Luis Ramos had an awesome year and will sash the 2019 titleholder who will compete at Mr. Los Angeles Leather in March. ASL interpreters will be signing during the contest. Washington State Leather Pride Week
Washington State Leather Pride Week will be held March 15-24 at several venues in Seattle, WA. The Washington State Mr., Ms Leather and Bootblack Contest will be Friday through Sunday, March 23 and the Leather Emerald Awards with Victory Brunch on Sunday afternoon, March 22-24. Miss Cassie Rope Bondage Classes
