Teach at IMsL through their 12T Workshop

Missed the IMsBB IMsL workshop deadline for this year? Have a new workshop you want to try out and get some feedback on? Want to gain some experience as a workshop presenter? You can do all of these by signing up your workshop for the 12T (12 minute talks). Any registered attendee can submit a proposal to do a mini- workshop on Saturday afternoon. You have 12 minutes to present, followed by three minutes for the audience to submit their evaluation. Topics can be on anything related to BDSM, kink, sex, relationships, play and/or the Leather community. Click on the link to apply by March 19. The SW Bootblack Boot Camp is planned for June 22-24 in Phoenix, AZ. When SW Community Bootblack 2015 Cherielle created the Arizona Bootblack Academy, using her formal apprenticeship program as a foundation, she set out to provide that which was lacking. The Arizona Bootblack Academy exists to provide a well rounded education in the art of bootblacking to all who express an interest in learning. Classes in technique are offered on a weekly basis, with field trips held occasionally. In addition to educational opportunities, students are provided the opportunity to give back to their communities in various ways. Students are encouraged to find ways to provide service using their bootblacking skills. 21st Annual Jon-Henri Award Presentation to Gary Chichester

The date March 31 commemorates what would’ve been Damski’s 81st birthday and celebrates the tremendous commitment of Gary Chichester, to honor and& acknowledge the 50 plus years of contributions he has made to the LGBT community. In 1971 Gary co-founded the Chicago Gay Alliance, which created Chicago’s first gay and lesbian community center. He has served on the Chicago Commission on Human Relations’ Advisory Council on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender issues since 1989 and has sat on the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame Committee from its inception in 1991 (co-chairing it since 1992). Besides having been a Chicago pioneer in the renascent gay and lesbian rights activism of the early 1970s, Gary Chichester has for more than 20 years been an indefatigable organizer of events and fundraising. A raffle raised $1,500 with $500 a-piece benefiting the Leather Archives & Museum, CLAW and the Titans of the Midwest. There was an earlier Eagle, in West Hollywood at the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. It opened in 1980 and closed in 1995. How you can include your information on Dave Rhodes' Hump Day

If you come up with a date and basic information on a new event, please send us the date and a short detail or two. This is designed for the web site and less so for print, so there is no 45 days-in-advance deadline. If your event is happening on November 15, make sure I have it by Monday afternoon, November 6.

Things to send:
1. Short article of about 90 words. So what if you are a few over. Please be concise.

2. Photo or two. Landscape preferred. Must be a jpg. Taken with cellphone is fine. Please supply photo credit.

3. Link to a working site. Web site is preferential, Facebook still works.

4. Five "W's" - Who, what, when, why and where. All are important.

5. Please be concise. In news, verbosity is not a virtue; it is an editor's nightmare.
