Mr. Regiment 2019 Leather
The Regiment of the Black and Tans produced the Mr. Regiment 2019 Leather contest which was won by Joshua Hernandez on Saturday, November 17 at Eagle LA. The runner-up was Tony Giragos. Jason Mark was entertaining as the emcee. The winner will compete at Mr. Los Angeles Leather next March. Several Mr. Regiment titleholders have gone on to win Mr. LA Leather. Ottawa Knights - Mr. Leather Ottawa

At Saturday’s Formal Dinner Martine L Chu was presented her Pantheon of Leather President’s Award. Following the dinner was the conclusion of the MLO/BBO 26 Contests. Congratulations to all the competitors and Bootblack Ottawa 2019 winner Dakota and Mr. Leather Ottawa 2019 winner Francois Belanger. The runner-up in the BBO competition was Michael and the runner-up in the MLO Competition was Jefferson. The weekend events, held November 16-18, included seminars, a mosh pit, gear swap, the contests, formal Leather dinner and parties.

Bears, Bikers and Mayhem
After the winter thaw events perk up on the East Coast and a big one is Bears, Bikers and Mayhem VIII which will be held April 11-14 in Baltimore, MD at the Eisenhower Inn and Aspire Conference Center. Avatar Club Los Angeles - Power Exchange Dynamics vs Intimate Partner Abuse

An Avatar is a Hindu deity who makes a deliberate descent into mortal realms for special purposes. This is where Avatar Los Angeles got its name. There have been many times since the club was founded over 35 years ago that our community needed leadership in addressing issues critical to our safe, sane, and consensual play and relatedness. Avatar Club Los Angeles believes we are currently in such a time. Recent events have, again, put into the spotlight, the difference between power exchange and intimate partner violence/abuse. While this conversation is initiated by the loss of Pup Tank (aka Jack), this is by no means, an isolated incident. We will be holding an informational and experiential forum to discuss the nature of healthy power exchange, bodily autonomy, and the very nature safe, sane, and consensual BDSM play with a a panel of experts on power play and power exchange dynamics on Sunday, December 9, 4-7 PM at MCC in the Valley, 5730 Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601.

Buck’s Motorcycle Club - Santa Saturday
The 45th annual Santa Saturday will be held again at the Paradise, in Asbury Park, NJ on November 24. As in prior years, this year’s Santa Saturday will be a combination of an auction of donated items; entertainment by performers associated with the Bucks and the Paradise; service awards for worthy individuals; photos with the Bucks’ bear Santa Claus; a Leather shop; a 50-50 raffle; and refreshments and drinks. Santa Saturday originated in New Hope, Pennsylvania and is the the oldest and largest East Coast Leather charity event. The Buck’s Motorcycle Club has been hosting this charitable event for 40 years..

Touche' - monthly Ripe Party
The fourth Saturday is Touche's monthly Ripe Party, a night to get down, sweaty and dirty. First they turn the lights down low, way down low. The Golden Gate Guards 32nd Anniversary gave $2,500 to the San Francisco Bay Area Leather Alliance. Congrats to David Hyman for being presented a Special Club Award in recognition of his exemplary support in 2018. Congratulations to Ray Red Spider who was given the Friend of Club honor, Jim Stokes given the Road Captain Award and Marc "Pony" Owens the President's Award and the Golden Guard Award. Club baby Daniel Cherry is now assistant Road Captain.

International Geared Pup
The International Geared Pup 2019 Contest will be held on February 10. Unlike other contests currently being held in the Leather, rubber, kink, and fetish communities, International Geared Up Pup is held entirely online. There is no physical venue, which means that there are no travel limitations or expensive run packages to purchase. Any pup, worldwide, is truly capable of entering and participating in the contest. There were 10 contestants last year. The inaugural International Geared Pup titleholder is Alpha Pup Ashtray Boner Kain of Studio City, CA.

Leather Heart Foundation launches General Assistance Applications
Over the last year the Leather Heart Foundation (LHF) has gone through structural changes and reorganization internally to bring all of the fetish communities LHF serves a strong foundation for those facing financial hardships. LHF is the only non-profit group of its kind - by the community, for the community. Recently, LHF opened applications to the Disaster Relief Fund for individuals affected by the devastating wildfires and hurricanes. Today, LHF is announcing the reopening of regular applications for support due to financial hardship. Members of the various fetish communities including, but not limited to, the Leather/BDSMKink/Rubber communities may apply.
Rocky Mountain Leather Alliance education
The Rocky Mountain Leather Alliance holds educational classes on the second Saturday of each month in Denver, CO. The November 10 and December 8 classes begin at 2 PM. Organized by House of Rayvnblood and Sanctuary LAX, the event featured handmade BDSM gear, fetish clothing, artwork and novelties. Vendors included Orchid and Serpent, Laced Up Corsets, Ghoul Vibrations, Geeky and Kinky pins, Anticipation USA, American Ruin, Mistress Evil, Aron the Canemaker, Naughty’s Proper Paddles, Kim Air’s Grand Opening, Justin Sayne Leather and more. ONYX SoCal-Southwest
ONYX is an organization that supports ethnic and racial diversity in the gay Leather community. For over 22 years, the organization has been the bridge between Leather men of color and the broader Leather community. LDG Presents - Kinky Tech
The next SFLDG presentation will be on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:30 PM. Brian Bolt Donner will present Kinky Tech. Programs are every fourth Wednesday, with some exceptions. They vary from interview, to demo, to community panel discussion, and more. Attendance varies from 60-150 people. Occasionally a presenter may ask for audience participation, but its never required.
