Pantheon of Leather

The Pantheon of Leather Awards were held at the Double Tree by Hilton Market Square in Dallas, TX during ILSLb ICBB weekend on Thursday night, August 30. International Leather Sir, Leatherboy, Community Bootblack

International Leather Sir 2018 is Sir Jay, International Leatherboy is boy Collin and International Community Bootblack is Raymond Smith. The trio won their titles at the Double Tree by Hilton Market Square in Dallas, TX in front of about 400 wildly-cheering spectators. Thib Guicherd-Callin returned in a fourth year as emcee covering the contest which had 13 contestants. ILSLb ICBB weekend included two days of classes, vendors, a cigar party, pool party, ONYX party, titleholder roast, Pantheon of Leather Awards, victory party and closing Sunday barbecue at the Dallas Eagle. The weather cooperated being 10 degrees below the norm all weekend.

Ces Williams - April 25, 1945 - September 6, 2018

The beloved Ces Williams passed away in early September due to a long time illness. Ces co-founded the Women's International Leather Legacy weekend and is a past Ms Texas Leather. Her list of accomplishments and accolades are long. A celebration of life was held for her at the Ripcord in her home town, Houston, TX on Saturday, September 8.

Joe Mastrapasqua - April 24, 1964 - September 6, 2018

Joe Mastrapasqua, co-founder and co-owner of the International Puppy Contest, passed away on September 6. He lived in Brandenton, FL. He was married to Mitch Hixson. Joe was the owner of Puppy Graphics. Master Joe was taken off life support after battling lung cancer that had spread to other parts of his body. A service is being held at MCC Tampa, 409 East Cayuga Street, Tampa, FL 33603 on September 15, 2018 at 1 PM.

Mr. Nebraska Leather

The Mr. Nebraska Leather 2019 Contest was won by Michael Claar at The Max in Omaha, NE the weekend of August 24-26. Four men competed. Mr. Nebraska Leather 2018 Jeff Deutsch passed the title to the man who will represent the state throughout the rest of this year and most of 2019 and at International Mr. Leather next May.

Folsom Street Fair Week events in San Francisco

Folsom Street Fair

The world's largest single Leather event will be on Sunday, September 30, the Folsom Street Fair which will turn Folsom Street from Sixth to 12th Streets into one big Leather sardine can. Everything imaginable will be seen there and much of it done there. The area in front of the Powerhouse and the Steamworks Twister game will be packed.

Mama's Family

There will be a Mama's Family photo shoot adjacent the Powerhouse on Dore Alley.

San Francisco Bare Chest Men's Calendar

Perhaps the hottest booth, at least in the horny eyes of gay men, will be the 2019 Bare Chest Men's Calendar booth with next year's Men hawking Calendars from which proceeds of sales goes to the Positive Resources Center.

Donna's Tilteholder Brunch canceled

The Sunday morning brunch held by Donna Sachet and Lenny Broberg has been canceled after 19 years. The beloved brunch had Leather luminaries at Donna's home at the top of Castro Street with a view of The City and East Bay. Hopefully it will return in 2019.

The 27th Annual Leather Walk takes place on Sunday, September 23, beginning at 10 AM at 440 Castro. Please check in at the bar. Entertainment starts at 11:30 AM at Jane Warner Plaza. LDG Presents: Reasonable Pup Play

The next SFLDG presentation will be on Wednesday, September 26 at 7:30 PM. This workshop focuses on finding reasonable ways to engage in human pup play and not be an idiot.
Programs are every fourth Wednesday, with some exceptions. They vary from interview, to demo, to community panel discussion, and more. Attendance varies from 60-150 people. Occasionally a presenter may ask for audience participation, but its never required.

Golden Gate Guards - Leather Cruise

The Golden Gate Guards' Eighth Annual Leather Cruise on San Francisco Bay will be on Saturday, September 29 at Pier 40 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco, CA. Check in 4:30 PM, departs 5:30 PM. They will travel under the Bay Bridge, pass Angel Island and Treasure Island, Sausalito, Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate Bridge to see the bridge and the city of San Francisco at sundown. Full no host bar on-board as well as late afternoon buffet. $75 donation, regular tickets are a $90. A souvenir photo will be taken on the dock or on-board and e-mailed after the cruise. The 15 Association - Folsom Play Party

The 15 Association will hold its annual Folsom Play Party at Catalyst, 1060 Folsom Street. This event usually sells out well in advance, with no ticket sales at the door. Find a member and sign up early, or wait until Sunday when you can hear how awesome it was.

Mr. GNI Leather

The Gay Naturist International (GNI) Gathering held in the Poconos Mountains in August was a huge success and included several contests. After the scores were tallied the title of Mr. GNI Leather 2018 went to Jonathan. Later that evening the title of Mr. GNI 2018 was awarded to Rick who was best of three men. Mr. Bare Bear 2018 is Christopher and Miss Lace 2018 is Diva Corvette. Joey Miller organized an informal Men of Color and Admirers (MOCA) gathering.

IPAHW names host city

It is with great pleasure that IPAHW announces that it's Third Annual event will be held in Indianapolis, IN from July 25-28. Once again, IPAHW will be hosting the International Puppy and Trainer Contest. The reason for the move is simple: The community asked for it. The move allows us to rent out an entire hotel for our event, while still affording us 18,000 square feet of conferencing space. Manchester Leather Weekend returns October 5-8 and will be bigger and better than before with a weekend packed full of great events.
