ONYX SoCal Southwest - Third Anniversary

By Chad ONYX. On Sunday, September 9 ONYX SoCal Southwest celebrated our Third Anniversary at our home bar, Eagle LA. I couldn’t be prouder of our accomplishments this year. We increased our visibility by participating in community events; partnered with event producers and organizers, grew our membership through thoughtful recruiting, expanded our brand by hosting events all over the Southern and Northern CA regions, and were active humanitarians. Because of the generosity of our supporters, we were also able to donate thousands of dollars to HIV care organizations such as Being Alive Los Angeles, Minority AIDS Project and Los Angeles LGBT Center; volunteered our time and money to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank; donated and participated in AIDS Walk Los Angeles and donated toys and money to Los Angeles Mission.

The Visibility Project has supplied flags to over 30 events in the past year with many more scheduled. Phase two (launching in 2019) seeks to provide scholarships to minority-identified Leatherfolk to be visible, representative and included in events otherwise beyond their reach so that they may share their knowledge and experiences and bring back those to their own home communities. 501 (c)3 status is pending and a website will be launching soon. Timeline of Pup Play

Timeline of Pup Play is a web site with tons of puppy history. When going to the site you will see a timeline for 2011 to the present. Yes, there is a lot of puppy history prior to that. Not to be alarmed - scroll down and you will see 2001-2010. There is more than that, you will discover. The Go-to website for all things pup play, from the basics for newcomers to advice and opinions to inspire those with serious ambition. This is not meant to be taken literally or as a rule-book. This is designed to inspire pups to be the pups they want to become and to find resources. We try our best to gather information and experiences from across the community and compile them into one place so the content is not biased to one persons experiences but to have content made by the entire community to inspire those who are curious and those who are also long time veterans to animal role-play.

Puppies in the Mountains, October 5-7 in Colorado Springs, CO, is not like any other fetish community event you've attended. We don't build in a lot of structure, no seminars or lectures, and no title contests or pageantry. We just want to hang out and have a lot of fun! We are still planning the details of the event, but here are some of the ideas we're putting together: Plenty of play time in our huge mosh area, games for puppies and humans alike, cuddles during movie night, story time, or camp fires, discussion groups for pups and handlers, and excursions to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods.
