IML IMBB 2020 is on!

IML and IMBB will occur September 24-27, 2020 in a unique shorter format, some events will need to change and we’ll share more about that in the future but for now, we wanted to get the dates out so you can start your plans to attend. The Congress Plaza Hotel will continue as our host hotel. Reservations for the new dates opened on May 1. After that date, you can call the hotel directly at (312) 427-3800 to transfer existing reservations to our new dates or cancel if you won’t be able to attend, the hotel will refund deposits to the original credit card of purchase as soon as possible after. New reservations can also be made after May 1. Weekend events and schedule will be released in early June. IML IMBB will not reopen Weekend Package sales through our ticketing partner Box Office Tickets (BOT) until July 1. You will have options available with existing reservations. Note - The last weekend of September usually has most of us in San Francisco, CA for the Folsom Street Fair which has been canceled - their is no conflict.

Garry Bowie dies due to COVID-19

The executive director of Being Alive Los Angeles, Garry Bowie, passed away on Tuesday, April 7 at 9:30 AM after testing positive for COVID-19 and being hospitalized on Saturday, March 28. Bowie was born on January 24, 1961. Garry was a long-time member of the Satyrs Motorcycle Club which is the oldest continuous LGBT organization in the world. He held several club offices over the years. He is well-known for mentoring with his sage advice and his altruism in the community. He was an historian, compling much of the LA areas Leather and motorcycle club artifacts. Garry is survived by his husband, Jeff Wacha. They spent 20 years together. International Master/slave winners

Master Rook and slave rook left South Plains LeatherFest in Dallas, TX with the International Master/slave 2000 title in hand. Three Master/slave teams vied for the coveted titles. South Plains holds more than a contest. The weekend includes over 50 workshops, classes and demos, dungeon parties, a keynote Sunday brunch, a large Leather market and several socials.
