The International Leather Sir, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack weekend was held in a new hotel in Dallas, TX over Labor Day Weekend where Sir Ivan won the Sir title, boy jake presented the boy medallion and boy Patrick take the Bootblack sash in front of approximately 450 Leatherfolk and Kinksters.

The four-day weekend started at the Downtown Doubletree by Hilton on Thursday, September 1 with a VIP reception, the Pantheon of Leather 2016 Awards in the Skyline Ballroom with Christopher Edwards serving as emcee, introduction of contestants with emcee Wayne Davis, meet and greet and contestant demos, followed by a roast of the 2015 ILSb-ICBB titleholders hosted Bamm Bamm.

Contestants appear on stage during Opening Ceremonies.

Friday and Saturday saw the vendor market open with several classes and demos and a FETCH! Puppy Mosh.

Runner-up in the Sir category was Steven Parker, runner-up in the Leatherboy contest was Woody and runner-up for Bootblack was Amanda.

The following honors were voted on by all of the contestants: John Siracusa Award to boy Don from the Southeast Region, Sir Alan Penrod Golden Flogger to Draig from the Central Plains Region and the Golden Brush went to Pup Philthy who withdrew before the staged portion of the contest began, for an undisclosed reason.

Thib Guicherd-Callin was thrilled to accept a second invitation to emcee ILSb-ICBB, handling first the roast of the stepping-down titleholders on Thursday night and the contest on Friday and Saturday nights.

Sir Don Leach accepts the Jeffrey Payne Lifetime Achievement Award from Bob Weber.

The Jeffrey Payne Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Sir Don Leach who is the first Great Lakes Leather Sir, circa 2001, and who has been active ever since.

Friday had a Match Game, the International Leather Sir, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack Contest - Part I, and a Casino Night benefit.

On Saturday STOMP! ICBB Contestant Bootblacking, REUNITED! Alumni Reunion Brunch, Kinky Bingo, International Leather Sir, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack 2016 Contest – Part II, followed by a Victory Party at the Dallas Eagle.

On Sunday, Leatherfolk began the trek back to their hometowns. The day featured a Leather Family Barbecue followed by the closing Official After Party - Trash Disco at the Dallas Eagle.

Attendance was way up from 2015 and there was a more sexually-charged atmosphere. There were so many events on Thursday night and they were the kind that everyone wants to attend. Having the staged portion of the contest which was not filled with non-contest-related entertainment and enough intermission times worked - it did not seem like a remake of the movie From Here To Eternity. The fact hat there were many restaurants nearby was a big improvement over last year's venue. This hotel works - don't fix it.
