Is your run in April sponsored by an Event, bar, club, organization?

The Ms. los angeles Leather Organization http://mslaleather.com/  and the los angeles Leather Coalition http://lalc.info/  are sponsoring my run. The Ms. los angeles Leather Organization produced by Shae Flanigan brought this title back after 17 years and I am honored to have worn the sash for the past year.

Tell us about your favorite charity.

My Favorite Charity would have to You Are Not Alone. Being a suicide survivor myself and having mourned too many lives lost to suicide, I love being part of a movement that is there to help someone to not feel so alone that suicide is the answer.

Tell me in your own words how you feel about community service.

Service is about giving back and support. Those willing to give of themselves back to the people and places that helped them when they needed it most; to support in anyway your able to.
What makes you a Leather Woman and/or Bootblack?    My love of my community, my desire to see my village to thrive. To be a mentor to the new generation, help them to experience the joys that our ways have to give.

Who is your favorite Leather Woman…Why?

Mistress Melissa Miles. She is the leather woman I hope to be when I grow up. She is the type of woman who doesn’t talk about what she is going to do, she just does it. She leads by action not talk. And she’s slightly scary.

What do you feel is the most dangerous mis-information passed through traditional & social media affecting our community today, and how would you combat it should the opportunity arise?

That Kink and Sex are the same. I want people to be able to experience the wonders of BDSM from everyone and anyone who is willing to guide them. Don't limit yourself on experiences based on gender, sexuality or orientation. We have a lot to learn from each other.

In 100 words or less what will you do as IMsL or IMsBB to promote your title?

I will continue what I have been doing, just on a larger stage. I love meeting new people and communities. As IMsL my community is the world. I will be there for those communities that are new and growing lending myself in anyway I can to support them.

What do you say to those who think there are too many titles and that it has diluted the meaning of holding a title?

Are there a lot of titles? Yes. Too many? I don’t know. I don’t think there is a dilution of the meaning of holding a title unless those who hold them do nothing with them. Title holding for most is not an easy position to hold. I am thankful for those who do and do it with gusto and joy.

About Author

Vonn Tramel has been a kinky "friday night femme" since she was 17.  She found the Leather community in 2007 and began her Leather Journey in 2008 after attending a Cigar Play Class in Long Beach, CA at Pistons Bar. A meeting with Dave Rhodes in May of 2008, changed her path for better or worse when she filmed and photographed the 2008 West Coast Olympus Contest, then International Olympus in Chicago that year....the rest they say is her-story.

Edit: In 2012 she was approached by Dave to join The Leather Journal as it's Webmaster with business partner Bryan Teague.
