Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013 Contest Announcement

SAN DIEGO … The Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013 contest will be held over the weekend of February 15th and 16th 2013 at the Queen Bee Arts and Cultural Center in the North Park area of San Diego.

The contest weekend will kick-off with a dinner honoring Dave Rhodes and The Leather Journal on the Journal’s 25th Anniversary.  It will be held at the Village Kitchen, a small café at 4853 Newport Avenue in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego. The dinner will feature a presentation on the history of the Leather Journal coverage of the San Diego leather community over the past two decades.

Ms. San Diego Leather 2012, a.k.a. Wish Linda, will host the dinner.  The dinner will begin with cocktails at 6pm and dinner being served at 7pm.  Reserve your seats now by purchasing your ticket online through Eventbrite.com.

The net proceeds from the $25 a plate dinner will benefit The Leather Foundation’s Leather Care Fund, an emergency fund for the leather/kink community members.

On Friday, February 15th the Mr. San Diego Eagle traditional Meet and Greet will be held at the San Diego Eagle bar in North Park, starting at 10 p.m.  This allows the public to meet the contestants and the judges.  There also is a fundraiser, Mr. Friendly that is being hosted by Aaron Duke, Mr. San Diego Leather 2012, and Wish Linda, Ms. San Diego Leather 2012.

Saturday, February 16th will feature the Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013 contest.  For the first time the contest will not be held at the San Diego Eagle bar.  It is being moved the Queen Bee Art and Cultural Center located at 3925 Ohio Street, not far from the Eagle.  

The contestants will vie with one another for the coveted title of Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013.  This has been a very successful contest event over the past years, always drawing a big crowd.  The event has even won a “Nicky” Award as the outstanding Levi/Leather event of the year.  The contest is a feeder contest for the Mr. San Diego Lather and IML contests. At this year’s contest we will say thank you to the current Mr. San Diego Eagle, Eli Correa, who has done a remarkable job representing the San Diego Eagle and the San Diego leather community.
