Palm Springs Leather Pride - Renegade

Richard Passmore was chosen Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2019 at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Saturday night, October 27 in front of about 650 Leatherfolk and kinksters. Passmore was tops among six men vying for the opportunity to compete at IML in May. First runner-up was Mark Heger and second runner-up was Charlie Mosquero. IML 1992 Lenny Broberg returned and was at the top of his game as emcee. The weekend included Friday, Saturday and Sunday pool parties at the Canyon Club, an Infernal Swap and Cruise Alley street fair at the Barracks on Friday and Saturday nights, a Tom of Finland Formal VIP Evening at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Friday night, A Gars and Gear Party at the Barracks on Saturday afternoon, an Atomic a Cockpit Leather Fetish Event at the Palm Springs Air Museum as well as a Victory Dance at the Barracks on Saturday night. There was a private hosted party at Jim Neuman's Casa Lola on Sunday afternoon. Passmore entered as Mr. Tool Shed 2019 and supports nonprofits, political activism, and education about Leather/sex-positivity.

Great Lakes Leather Alliance Weekend

It was another Great Lakes Leather Alliance Weekend in Indianapolis, IN, September 6-9 where upwards of 750 Leatherfolk gathered. The weekend had several contests and included many workshops, play parties, socials, meals, auctions and a lot of good old fun. Great Lakes Ms Leather Pride 2018 Ms B Raven, Great Lakes Leather Sir 2019 Sir James, Great Lakes Leatherboy 2019 boy mischief, Great Lakes Master/slave 2018 Master David and slave heather, Great Lakes Power Exchange 2017/2018 Mistress Elliot, Anders and Hagen. Mates Leather Weekend XXII

Fan-freakin-Tastic! The 22nd Annual Mates Leather Weekend has come to an end and the first results are in: 500-plus Leatherfolk were in attendance and $5,252 raised for AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. Mr. First Mate 2018 is Dominic Donahue from Chelsea in New York, NY. The judges were First Mate 2016 and Mr. New England Leather 2017 Russell Sweeney, Mr. Providence Eagle 2018 Jesse Rosenburg and Mr. New England Leather 2018 Robert Birch. Mates Leather Weekend has raised over $66,000 for the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod since fundraising efforts began in 2002. Next is Snowbound in February. Click the mates link to find out more.

Jackhammer Complex saved in Chicago

A couple of Andersonville, Chicago, IL, bar owners have purchased the iconic Jackhammer Complex near the Leather Archives and Museum. The sale also means that Leather64TEN will be able to remain in its home next to Jackhammer. Jimmy Keup, who opened Jackhammer with his late partner, Joe Maggio, in 2001, will remain general manager of Jackhammer. Both are next to separately-owned Touche' which is Chicago's oldest and longest running Leather bar. The area will remain Chicago's top Leather destination for years to come. Folsom Street Fair Week events in San Francisco

 

 

Folsom Street Fair

The world's largest single Leather event will be on Sunday, September 30, the Folsom Street Fair which will turn Folsom Street from Sixth to 12th Streets into one big Leather sardine can. Everything imaginable will be seen there and much of it done there. The area in front of the Powerhouse and the Steamworks Twister game will be packed. We have a calendar of events below.

California B&B Corps - 50th Anniversary

The California B&B Corps held their 50th Anniversary the weekend of September 14-16, hosting several events highlighted by a formal dinner in the Founder's Room of the Disney Concert Hall in downtown los angeles with 100 attendees traveling from Palm Springs, San Francisco Bay Area, Eastern Seaboard and the United Kingdom. There was a Friday night BLUF uniform party at Eagle LA, and a Sunday Social at the Tom of Finland Foundation House catered by Hunter and Charlie's and bar and cigar lounge hosted by the Bullet. los angeles Co-captains are Robert Green and Jim Neuman San Francisco Captain Christian Elliott, Desert division Co-captains John Rentsch and Lewis Kerman. Enterttainer Sharon McKnight sang and a commendation from los angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was presented.

Pantheon of Leather

The Pantheon of Leather Awards were held at the Double Tree by Hilton Market Square in Dallas, TX during ILSLb ICBB weekend on Thursday night, August 30. Pantheon of Leather XXVIII saw a crowd of about 150 Leatherfolk attend the awards show emceed by Christopher Edwards on Thursday night, August 30 at the Double Tree By Hilton Dallas Market Square.

Inside Leather History; A Fireside Chat now has a Youtube channel dedicated to the Chats. So far Mufasa Ali's Chat, Joey McDonald's Chat, and David Boyer's Chat are uploaded...more to come. In 2019 look for the Chats to appear in Antwerp Belgium, in los angeles and in Australia.
