Northern California LeatherSIR, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack 2013

Northern California Leather Sir By Rich StadtmillerOn Saturday, February 16, 2013, Brent Gannetta won the Northern California LeatherSIR 2013 title, and Element Eclipse won the Northern California Leather boy title at Beatbox in San Francisco, CA.  Scout won the Northern California Community Bootblack title.

The event also included a local honor, the Robert Davolt Award, presented to the person who has helped build up the Northern California community and whose dedication and hard work are an inspiration. This year’s Award was given to Mick Sheppard. Mick has been instrumental in producing Leather Traditions, a weekend event that allows community members to learn deeply about protocol, history, and the dynamics of D/s relating.

The judges for the Northern California LeatherSIR and Leatherboy contest were head judge International Mr. Drummer 1993 Graylin Thornton International Mr. Drummer 1993, Margaret Anderson of the Northwest Leather Celebration, International Leatherboy 2012 International LeatherSIR 2012 Sir Jack Duke, boy Bamm Bamm, Mr. Bolt Leather Sacramento 2012 Miguel, Mr. San Francisco Leather 2012 Jessie Vanciel, and the founder of the San Francisco girls of Leather Leland Carina.

 

The judges for the Northern California Community Bootblack Title were International Community Bootblack 2012 International Community Bootblack 2007 boyjean, International Community Bootblack 2012 Ruin, and community leader and two-time award winning bootblack Q.

The emcees were BubblinSugare and Mr. San Francisco Leather 2010 Lance Holman.

The Northern California LeatherSIR title is produced by Deborah Wade, Jessie Vanciel, Shawn Kinnear and Richard Sprott. The Beneficiary of the contest is CARAS, the Community-Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities.
