International Ms Olympus Leather 1999. I might not have been born into Leather diapers, but my love of Leather, Corsets, and Art developed at quite a young age. I was nine years-old when I received my first black Leather jacket (thanks, Dad) after falling in love with "The Wild Ones," starring Marlon Brando. My teen years were filled with fantasies of having Betty Page pin-ups as submissives as well as my first fledgling corset experiences with Mom’s 1950’s “form fitting” garments.
By my college years, I would be wearing corsets under my "normal" attire. Thus bone-ribbed fortified, I earned two BA with Honors degrees, one in Art History, the other Business Administration; a Master’s degree and a PhD in Art History with a dissertation tome focusing on Women in 19th Century Cemetery Sculpture.
Professionally, I spent my career at the University of Minnesota in both the U of MN’s Art Museum as the Financial Director and then at the Office of the General Counsel as Administrative Director.
My favorite time of day is dusk, favorite color is pale purple-gray, favorite gem is moonstone, and find mystery in foggy mornings. I enjoy Marlene Dietrich films, thunderstorms, and gnarly trees. I indulge in Crème Brulle, fresh asparagus and White Teas from China. Other self-soothes are white carnations, clean sheets, and purring cats. I read myths, fantasy, folklore, and most things macabre - such as the works of Edward Gorey and Victorian Ghost Stories.
International Ms Olympus Leather 2001 as Sherree Dixon. I was fortunate to find PEP in 1997 and with the mentoring and friendship of Lady D and Grand Mistress Kay, I was given many opportunities to serve in the Leather Community. I have done fundraisers, volunteer work, and/or classes for PEP, The Sanctuary, Spring In The South, SELeatherfest, and Atlanta S&M Solidarity. I am a Switch who did ProDomme work for five years though I always enjoyed submission most.
In chaos, I will find the thread that leads to order. Choosing to walk an alternative path is not a frivolous decision. The compulsion to pursue a path not regimented by culture, society, family, or religion requires courage. It is a painful process frequently delayed by false starts, dead-ends, and the restoration needed to recover from fractured illusions.
After a long absence, I am grateful to part of Olympus Leather once again.
