Since there were three contestants for Ms Olympus no runner-ups were named, so as not to embarrass the woman who placed third. The first runner-up for Mr. Olympus was Mr. Rocky Mountain Olympus Leather Ras from Salt Lake City, Utah and the second runner-up was Master Bear from Chicago, Illinois.
Attendance was light for Olympus, considering that it is an international competition. Still, there was slightly over double the crowd from 2013.
Emcee Alan Stroik appeared on stage in a complete spandex puppy outfit and the audience loved it. At the first intermission he changed, but it was wild.
Olympus Leather Coproducer Mistress Cyan presented the Giu Micu Community Service Award to Southeast Olympus Leather Regional Producer Insatiable and to Rocky Mountain Olympus Leather Regional Producer Andrew Love, and the John Cougar Service Award to Olympus Leather Founder and Coproducer Dave Rhodes.
The judging panel was headed by Dr. Lawrence Burden with International Ms Olympus Leather 2013 Robyn, International Mr. Olympus Leather 2013 Praxxis, International Leather Sir 2013 George Saltzman and Ms Sanctuary Leather 2014 Shae Flanigan serving as judges. The Judges' Coordinator was Charles Goldman and the Tally Master was Mike Van Horn.
Among the changes that helped 2014 International Olympus Leather Contest was the addition of a speech category and adding an extra day where interviews and rehearsals did not overlap at the same time. A hospitality suite helped give International Olympus Leather an identity at DomCon where people could congregate, have their boots done and enjoy a cigar with other Leather folk.
Taking advantage of the hospitality opportunity, Mr. San Jose Kinkster 2014 Tim Perkins hosted a party on Friday while Rocky Mountain Olympus Leather Regional Producer Andrew Love hosted parties on Friday and Saturday nights. The goal is to have cocktail parties and socials throughout International Olympus Leather Weekend similar to those of International Ms Leather fame.
The show was directed by Vonn Tramel who was back for a second year. The contest opened with the A Capella singing of O Canada and the Star Spangle Banner by Yarrick. Guest titleholders and clubs were recognized on stage. The first section of the contest included Comical Questions. The second act included speeches and fantasies alternating.
The stepping down titleholders, Robyn and Praxxis, gave short and sweet talks and both received strong ovations.
The new International Ms Olympus Leather Shy's bio reads, "In 2003 I discovered the BDSM lifestyle online and three years later I dove head first into the community. I spent 18 months with Master Mark and his wife and submissive, Carla. During that time I became involved in BDSM education. Then in 2008 I moved to Denver, Colorado and for three months I served the Denver Sanctuary and worked for Dangerous Theater. When I moved back to Texas in February, 2009 I went to South Plains Leather Fest and embraced the Leather Path. I moved in with Master Patrice (then was Miss Patrice) and served her for four years before becoming collared to her just this past September. At that time I ran for and won Ms Great Plains Olympus Leather 2013 and have very much enjoyed the adventure."

The ideal of the International Mr. and Ms Olympus Leather (IOL) Contest is to promote A Positive Image of the Leather/BDSM/Fetish lifestyle. It is our belief that the Leather community is comprised of an extremely diverse group of people ranging from the motorcycle and Leather/Levi clubs to the heaviest SM edge player and all of the Leatherfolk in between. The International Mr. and Ms Olympus Leather title seeks to make all Leatherfolk feel good about themselves regardless of race, religion, political beliefs, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, size, handicap, or health condition. It is the goal of International Mr. and Ms Olympus Leather to make all those who wish to be a part of the Leather community feel welcome in doing so.
International Mr. and Ms Olympus Leather will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in 2015, and, like the other major Leather titles make an effort to do, plans are to have as many of the past Olympus titleholders present.
